The lavoir was created by Charles Albert Vasserot in 1862. It received the name of Lavoir Vasserot in August 1991, following the homage given to its creator. The monument was designed in the form of three basins: a basin for color, one for white and one for rinsing.

Listed as a Historic Monument in 1981, the building is now hosting art exhibitions.

We were at the Gallery on 11 October 2016, at the end of the exposition of Graziella Agresti's paintings, winner of the 1st Grand Prix of painting of Sainte-Maxime in 2008.

Le Lavoir de Saint-Tropez fut créé par Charles Albert Vasserot en 1862. Il reçoit le nom de Lavoir Vasserot en août 1991, suite à l'hommage donné à son créateur. Le monument fut conçu sous la forme de trois bassins : un bassin pour la couleur, un pour le blanc et un pour le rinçage.

Classé aux Monuments Historiques en 1981, l'édifice accueille aujourd'hui des expositions.

Nous étions à la Galerie le 11 octobre 2016, à la fin de l'exposition des tableaux de Graziella Agresti, lauréate du 1er grand prix de peinture de Sainte-Maxime en 2008.
