On February 6, 1998 a tragic fire ripped through a house killing two young boys and their adult babysitter. The parents of the boys interred them with an inscription "Our two little devils will always be angels to us".

When walking through a cemetery it's very odd to see two devils on a gravestone. This is exactly what you will find in Farmers Valley Cemetery in Angelo Township. The two boys died tragically in a fire that also took the life of their adult babysitter. At the time the city of Sparta had a population of around 8,000 and this news shocked the community. The inscription on the gravestone was placed there by their parents and states "Our two little devils will always be angels to us". Below both the children's names are two figures which appear to be child devils with a halo.
The cemetery is only open during daylight hours. Parking is next to Wisconsin Highway 71 and must be outside of the fence line.
