This far is in the middle of nowhere! We passed a sign on the main road saying "You've just gone past Platts Ice Cream" so we doubled back and headed off down a single track road. A good 5 minutes later we came to the farm, it looked a bit run down but had some brand new buildings for the ice cream shop. It was closed and it looked like there wasn't anyone around. We heard voices around the corner.... the conversation went a little like this:-
Me: "Hello is anyone there?"
Farmer: "Hello - good afternoon"
Me: "Have you got any ice cream?"
Farmer: "Yes, come over here" - pointing towards the door to the new building.
Farmer: "You've not been here before, have you?"
Me: "No - first time"
Farmer: "Most people just look in the freezer, take some ice cream and leave the money in the box - there is a price list on the wall."
We bought some ice cream - you could get small eat now packs or larger packs to take home!
