This intersection is where the La Crosse River State Trail intersects South Water Street in Sparta, Wisconsin. The trail itself is a bicycle trail created when the state tore up the old railway lines. Within the last two years the state started numbering the intersections for location purposes. A paid trail pass is required for bikers. Walkers and hikers are free. This trail goes all the way from Sparta, Wisconsin to La Crosse, Wisconsin. There are amazing views throughout the trail of the area coulees and bluffs. The trail is 22 miles long.
