Die Kirche wurde ab dem 24. April 1899 gebaut. Der Einweihungsgottesdienst war bereits am 9. Juli 1899. Die heutige Orgel wurde 1980 gebaut. (visit link)

Neben der lutherischen Kirche gibt es auf dieser Insel auch noch eine evangelisch-reformierte Kirche.
