EN: The wetland zone Grund is a protected area of national importance. It is located on the north side of the Simplon Pass, where the three rivers Ganterbach, Taferna and Nesselbach merge to the Saltina. In the area there are some alpine cottages, but it is not permanently inhabited and can only be accessed by foot.
The sign has information about the area and its plants and animals in German and French.
DE: Das Auengebiet Grund ist eine geschützte Zone von nationaler Bedeutung. Es befindet sich an der Nordseite des Simplonpasses, wo die drei Flüsse Ganterbach, Taferna und Nesselbach sich zur Saltina vereinen. Auf dem Gebiet befinden sich einige Alphütten, es ist aber nicht permanent bewohnt und nur zu Fuss zu erreichen.
Das Schild hat in Deutsch und Französisch Informationen über das Gebiet und seine Pflanzen und Tiere.
