Sadly, the sculpture was destroyed. Check the visitor's story.

Originally wearing painted-on white shirt and black pants, the paint faded since 1993. Apparently, the sculpture wore real clothing that was frequently changed.

The interpretive plaque is no longer useful. Hopefully this is not due to a lack of respect for the art or the artist. While we were pondering the significance of the sculpture from the bridge, a resident stopped to share his impressions of the piece. His indepth story ended with the phrase, "sinistre, sinistre, sinistre." I guess we missed his message.

Balkenhol's figures are known throughout Europe. His piece La Femme à la Robe verte can also be seen from the posted co-ordinates. Check the walls to the south.
