De 1930 au 1er janvier 1972 cette locomotive
a tire les bateaux a partir des chemins de halage
le long du canal du Rhône au Rhin.
L'activite de halage electrique sur berges
était effectuée par la sociéte "Traction de l'Est"
qui a été créée en octobre 1930 en vue de l'organisation
et l'exploitation de la traction de bateaux sur le canal
du Rhône au Rhin entre Strasbourg et Mulhouse
et les embranchements de ce canal.
Cette petite locomotive electrique (ou locotracteur)
a été gracieusement cédée
à la commune de Volgelsheim le 15 janvier 2008 par la CCI
Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie ) de Colmar.
From 1930 till 1st january 1972 this locomotive
pulled boats from towpaths
along the channel of the Rhône in the Rhine.
The activity of electric towing on banks
