Das DRK Krankenhaus Neuwied ist ein Krankenhaus der gehobenen Regelversorgung mit Schwerpunktaufgaben. Es ist Standort eines Linkherzkatheter-Messplatzes und als Schulungs- und Behandlungseinrichtung für Typ 1 und Typ 2 Diabetiker nach den Richtlinien der Deutschen Diabetes-Gesellschaft anerkannt. Seit 01.01.1999 ist der Schwerpunkt Diabetologie im Landeskrankenhausplan Rheinland-Pfalz ausgewiesen. Dem Krankenhaus angeschlossen ist eine Krankenpflegeschule mit 60 Ausbildungsplätzen.

The DRK Krankenhaus Neuwied is a hospital of the upper regulation supply with emphasis tasks. It is the location of a linkherzkatheter measuring station and as a training and treatment facility for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics according to the guidelines of the German Diabetes Society. Since 01.01.1999 the main focus is diabetology in the Rhineland-Palatinate regional hospital plan. Connected to the hospital is a nursing school with 60 training places.
