A sundial featuring the signs of the zodiac, on a green by the packhorse bridge, Altarnun. A plaque on the pilar reads 'Erected by the people of Altarnun to mark the year 2000'
The dial plate marks the hours in roman numerals, and the outer ring shows signs of the western zodiac both pictorially and named. Capricorn is set at 12 o'clock (North), and clockwise follow the signs Aquarius, Pisces, Aires (East), Taurus, Gemini, Cancer (South), Leo, Virgo, Libra (West), Scorpio, Sagitarius
Sadly the gnomon is broken.
