Das Adlertor ist das nördliche Eingangsportal des Kees'schen Parks. Diese historische Parkanlage auf dem Gelände eines ehemaligen Ritterguts ist nach der Familie Kees benannt, den Nachfahren des kursächsischen Oberpostmeister Johann Jakob Kees, die den Park anlegen ließen.
Den Namen "Adlertor" trägt das Tor aufgrund der nicht mehr vorhandenen Bekrönung durch einen Adler. Das Tor besteht aus dem zehn Meter hohen säulengeschmückten Torbogen mit zwei prunkvollen schmiedeeisernen Torflügeln. Auf beiden Seiten des Torbogen schließen sich je zwei große und ein kleines schmiedeeisernes Gitter an.
Sowohl auf dem Torbogen, als auch inmitten der schmiedeeisernen Torflügel befindet sich das Wappen der Familie Kees.

ENGLISH:
The Adlertor is the northern entrance portal of the 'Keesscher Park'. This historic park on the grounds of a former knight estate is named after the Kees family, the descendants of the mayor postmaster, Johann Jakob Kees, who placed the park.
The name "Adlertor" carries the gate because of the no longer existing crowning by an eagle. The gate consists of the ten-meter-high pillar-arched archway with two ornate wrought-iron gates. On each side of the arch are two large and a small wrought-iron grille.
The coat of arms of the Kees family is located on the archway, as well as in the center of the wrought-iron gates.
