Owned and operated by the Freeport, IL Park District. Each year, approximately 60,000 rides are taken on the Carousel. Dedicated on July 4, 1959, it has run continuously through the years. In 1995, it received a major refurbishing. New lights, canopy, wheelchair ramp, and ticket booth were installed. Of course the 20 horses were repainted, and new scenes were painted on the oval panels above.

 Hours of Operation: Memorial Day through Labor Day: Noon - 9pm
Weekends & no-school days in May and September: Noon - 8pm
Closed when Freeport Schools are in session.
