Manetín is a town in the Plzen Region of the Czech Republic.
A commemorative plaque was placed in 1971 on the occasion
six hundredth anniversary of Czech schools in Manetin.

V letech 1351-1371 za komtura johanitských rytíru,
Jana ze Zvíretic, byla zrízena v Manetíne první ceska škola.
V roce 1373 stála v techto místech již druhá škola mestská.
Jejímž rektorem byl Matej Keczlinuv z Kostomlat.
Tato starobylá škola vyhorela 22. zárí 1712 pri požáru mesta.
Hned v následujících letech byla opet na tomto míste postavena
škola nová, která tu stála až do položení základního kamene
dne 18. zárí 1897 pro tuto školní budovu, v níž se pak
následujícího roku 27. listopadu 1898 zacalo vyucovat.
Pametní deska byla vsazena v roce 1971 u príležitosti
šestistého výrocí ceské školy v Manetíne
