Edificio de planta rectangular, com cobertura em telhado de três águas. Fachadas de quatro pisos, com o térreo em alvenaria de granito e os superiores revestidos a pastilha; percorridas por embasamento em granito e rematadas em cornija de betão; são rasgados por amplos vãos rectangulares, com moldura granítica.
1944 - adaptação de antigo edifício a estação de correios; década de 80 - construção do novo edifício; 1980, 21 novembro - inauguração do edifício dos correios.
