"The post office building was built after the 1895 earthquake. The facades are designed in the Italian Renaissance style with built medallions with postal emblems and coats of arms.

Construction of the two-storied building began shortly after the Easter earthquake of 1895, designed in the years 1894-96 in Vienna by Friedrich Setz. Work was completed 1 November 1896. On the facades of the buildings are built medallions with emblems poštnimmi (postal horn, lightning arrows) and the Austrian, Kranj and the city's coat of arms. In 1897 a telephone exchange was installed, which had a relationship with Graz, Vienna and Trieste. This exchangebegan with just 89, in 1918 it reached 400 subscribers."
