EN: This exceptional transformer station can be found east of Naters, next to the railway bridge over the Rhone.

It consists of a cube-shaped stone cottage with a bow door. The wooden door might not be original, but the roof, covered with traditional slate tiles, is. In the center, it has an iron tower with a pyramidal roof. It has still some of the original 16 insulators on the east side.

There is no information about the history of this station. Maybe it is related to the electrification of the railway. The railway line next to the station was put into operation in 1913, this date also fits the architecture of the station. The building obviously has not been maintained a long time. But due to its hidden location on a small triangle between road, river and railway bridge, it is quite protected from having to make way for a new building, because there is simply no reasonable alternative use for such a small area.

Sie besteht aus einem würfelförmigen gemauerten Häuschen mit einer Bogentür. Die Holztür ist vielleicht nicht original, wohl aber das mit traditionellen Schieferplättchen gedeckte Dach. Im Zentrum steht ein eiserner Turm mit einem Pyramidendach. An der Ostseite sind noch einige der ursprünglich 16 Isolatoren vorhanden.

Es gibt keine Informationen zur Geschichte dieser Station. Möglicherweise steht sie im Zusammenhang mit der Elektrifizierung der Eisenbahn. Die Bahnstrecke gleich neben der Station wurde 1913 in Betrieb genommen, dieses Datum passt auch zur Architektur der Station. Das Gebäude wird offensichtlich schon lange nicht mehr unterhalten. Durch seine versteckte Lage auf einem kleinen Dreieck zwischen Strasse, Fluss und Eisenbahnbrücke ist es aber ziemlich davor geschützt, einem Neubau weichen zu müssen, da es für ein so kleines Areal einfach keine vernünftige Alternativ-Nutzung gibt.
