The steps of the California Capitol almost always have demonstrators on them representing local through world-wide concerns. On the day we visited they were protesting world food shortages.

The building was built between 1861 and 1874 but was first occupied in 1869.

You can also take a Virtual Tour of the Museum but this does not count as visiting this Waymark.
