In North Adams, within Natural Bridge State Park, is this naturally made stone bridge made of marble.

The park is located east of downtown North Adams. From the center where Route 8 meets Main Street, follow Route 8 (and Mass. Route 2) east to an intersection where Route 8 splits on the road to the left. Follow the road about a quarter mile to the state park sign on the left. Enter the state park and follow the road to the parking lot and ranger/information station. After paying the fee (at the time $5 per car for Mass. residents, $6 per car outside of Mass.), follow the path to the natural bridge - can't miss it - there is only one main path and the park is small.

The natural bridge is about 15 feet thick and spans the 30 ft chasm. The gorge is deep here. the state park web site states that the bridge is 60 ft above the present level of Hudson Brook.

The chasm that the bridge is part of is a deep canyon where the brook runs through and by ancient potholes from the base of a marble dam (also possibly unique) to the access road and by old marble millworks. There are fences along the route to keep you safe. The natural bridge itself is a challenge to photograph well.
