This house was occupied by General Arthur St. Clair, the first governor of the NorthWest Territory. He had his headquarters in this house from 1800-1802. The sign was erected by the Chillicothe Rotary Club. It was moved in the 1980s (I think) to it's present location. Recently, it was home to a local CD shop, which is going out of buisiness.
