Parken er anlagt, på det areal hvor de gamle CM Hess Fabrikker, Vejle Støbegods lå. CM Hess fabrikkerne producerede kakkelovne mm. Omløbsåen løber gennem parken. I den nordlige ende fører denne overdækkede bro over åen.
The City Park in Vejle is situated at a former factory area. CM Hess' Factories was located here. Castings and stoves were produced here. A little creek is running through the park and at the northern end this covered bridge is located.
