DE: Das Rathaus wurde 1950/51 nach Plänen von Karl Hayek an der Stelle des im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstörten Khevenhüller Stadtpalais errichtet. Die Fassaden des platzbildenden und multifunktionalen dreigeschoßigen Baus haben die schlichte Formensprache der Nachkriegszeit. Das Diamantportal und mehrere Kapitelle des alten Khevenhüller-Palais aus dem 16. Jahrhundert wurden in die Gestaltung miteinbezogen. 1987 wurde der Paracelsussaal umgestaltet. 1995 wurde das Rathaus durch einen sechsgeschoßigen, gestaffelten Bau von Gernot Kulterer erweitert, das Obergeschoß ist zum Teil gestelzt.

The facades of the space- forming and multi-functional three-storey building have the simple design language of the post-war period . The Diamond Portal and several capitals of the old Khevenhüller - palace from the 16th century were involved in the design . 1987 Paracelsus hall was remodeled . In 1995, the Town Hall has been extended by a sechsgeschoßigen , staggered construction of Gernot Kulterer , the upper floor is stilted partly .
