L'hélice située au milieu de ce rond-point de Port Maria provient du pont du cargot britannique qui a coulé au large de la Côte Sauvage, au niveau des rochers des Birvideaux, torpillé par le sous marin allemand UC21 le 27 mars 1917. Ce naufrage fit 36 victimes et seulement 2 rescapés. Il s'agissait d'une hélice de secours qui était sur le pont du navire. A la Maison du Patrimoine de Quiberon, vous pourrez découvrir en détail l'histoire de ce naufrage et y voir une maquette du cargot ainsi que le très imposant canon du Thracia." (visit link)
