The names is at the top, but sign shaped like a "bell" with a flowr inside. The town name. Founded in 1893 and was named for all the little native pink flowers that bloomed on this prarie land.

"A village in northern Bear Creek Township. Laid out by John W. Schowengerdt, owner of the site, and named by him for the small pink flowers (bell flowers), which grew there profusely.
