This bridge is a single track railroad bridge still in use owned by the Peoria and Pekin Union Railroad which is jointly owned by the Union Pacific, Canadian National, and Norfolk Southern. Tazewell and Peoria Railroad recently leased the assets of the P&PU from the afore mentioned three railroads and now operates the railroad. Toledo Peoria and Western trains also have trackage rights over this bridge.
