In Keene, on the common at Central Square, is this monument celebrating the partnership between Keene and Einbeck, Germany.
The fountain is in roughly the center of the common, which is on the inside of a rotary where several roads join together.
The fountain has a circular wall with granite lining the outside and top, and a central portion with roughly split rocks. There was no water in there at the time of visit, it was likely too early in the year to have water in it.
Text on the fountain is as follows:
Side 1:
"This fountain area is dedicated to Einbeck Germany in recognition of international partnerships shared with the people and city of Keene."
Side 2:
[Keene City Seal]
"Keene, New Hampshire - Einbeck, Germany
Partner Cityies
Established 2002
[Einbeck Coat of Arms]

The partnership is still active. Groups are exchanged, often music groups.
