This is, as far as I know, the only fenced dog park in Cheyenne, the capital of the state of Wyoming. It is adjacent to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter, at 800 Southwest Drive in the southwest corner of the city.

The animal shelter's website (at http://www.cheyenneanimalshelter.org/facility-information/) gives this description:

"Right next door to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter is the Nancy Mockler Community Dog Park, a wide open (but fenced) park for dogs to romp and play. The park includes a separate smaller area for small breeds and older dogs. The Nancy Mockler Community Dog Park is open from sunrise to sunset daily. Pick-up bags are provided at the park. Dogs should be wearing their current rabies tags and should be dog and people friendly."

The park was created in 2003, and renovated in 2013 (including new benches and agility equipment). It's not terribly fancy, but it's large and pretty popular.

I'm not a good judge of area, but I suppose it's an acre or two. The terrain is mostly short grass, with some graveled areas. There is a dirt/gravel path around the inside perimeter. The northeast corner tends to flood with rain or snowmelt, making a big (maybe 30 foot diameter) puddle that dogs like to get wet and/or muddy in. The park is totally fenced, but the fence is not that high, maybe a bit over 4 feet tall. There's only one entrance.

There are about a half-dozen poop-bag dispensers placed along the fence, and likewise trash cans. A water pump is on the south side; there's usually a big bucket under it, but many people bring their own water bowls. There's also an area with 5 separate pieces of agility equipment.

A separate area near the entrance is designated for small dogs; it's less than 10% of the total area. A few benches are scattered around the park, but only one is covered, with a small gazebo. The small-dog area also has a small covered area.

The parking lot has no designated spaces, but has room for maybe 20 vehicles or more. This place is quite popular, and I sometimes see 15 or more people there at the same time. For visitors, it's pretty convenient to I-25 - just a few blocks away from Exit 7.
