The ice-rink has been build in the mid-70s of the last centuries. It started successfully as an ice-rink with public access. In the winter it is opened every day with different operating hours. Operating hours differ depending on the day of the week and usually are:
MO: 09:00-16:00
TU: 09:00-16:00
WE: 09:00-20:00
TH: 09:00-16:00
FR: 09:00-19:00
SA: 13:00-23:00
SU: 09:00-18:00

The ice-hockey-team was formed in 1979 as EHC TOM Neuwied It has changed its name 4 times and is currently the name is EHC Neuwied. The best result was winning the amateur-championship in 1997 and 1998. For matches of the team please check the home-page at (
