Chateau Stráž nad Nežárkou is a Baroque feudal residence, which was developed after major reconstruction of former Gothic castle. The chateau is surrounded by a large park in the valley of river Nežárka. From the original castle, there can be found only a Gothic tower with an edge in the main facade. The chateau is known, in the first place, in connection with the name of world famous opera singer Emmy Destinn (visit link) , who carried out minor adjustments in the chateau.

The chateau gate is decorated by initials of Emmy Destinn.
