The Exchange Building a Greek Revival structure featuring a Doric portico. There is a central circular dome, which rests upon an entablature supported by piers. The building has served as a bank, police court and other municipal functions. The building was completed in 1841, by a group of local businessmen as a place to display tobacco and cotton and also serve as a place to hold auctions and sales.
