Governor Head Lookout is 400 metres off Murray's Trail which loops through the national park. The lookout is approx. 1.1 kilometres from the carpark, with the track being narrow footpath and fire trail, with soft sand underfoot.
Bowen Island is at the entrance to Jervis Bay & is a protected zone. There are signs at the lookout which explain the surrounding geological history & the breeding cycle of little penguins, 5000 of which roost on the island.
