Located at 60 Canongate adjoining the boundary wall round Queensberry House and now a Grade B listed building this water cistern is dated 1817. It is of square plan, built of ashlar blocks with the base course proud and a block cornice to a flat roof. On the north side, facing Canongate, there is a cast iron door with raised date, 1817, in a circular moulding. The east side has a cast iron tap feeding into a square drainage trough.
