DE:Das große Aquarium wurde 1971 außerhalb des eigentlichen Zoogeländes errichtet. Neben Fischen werden hier Echsen, Philippinen-Krokodile und Schlangen gehalten. Auch ein Insektarium zählt zu den Einrichtungen des Aquariums.
Fische werden in einer Reihe kleiner Becken gezeigt. Zu den Besonderheiten zählt ein großes Riffaquarium, das das Leben an einem Korallenriff zeigt und wo zahlreiche Doktor- und Kaninchenfische gepflegt werden. Im großen Tanganjikabecken werden die typischen Buntbarsche gezeigt, die in diesem großen Süßwassersee vorkommen. Zu den Besonderheiten zählt auch das sogenannte „Rheinpanorama“, in dem die Fischarten gezeigt werden, die in den unterschiedlichen Flussabschnitten des Rheins zu Hause sind.
