A familiar sight along the Taupo lakeshore during holidays and weekends are the Segways located in Northcroft Reserve, 11 Northcroft Street, Taupo. Just a short walk from the Taupo CBD, the segways are set up on the reserve beside the lake and you are able to ride one of these fun machines. Rides cost only $10, a great way to learn how to master the Segway and ride around the flat grassed area in a safe controlled environment.
Alternatively if you would like a tour through one of Taupo's beautiful thermal parks then you can experience a Segway Taupo Tour, catering to groups and individuals and tours start from $99.
Segway at Taupo operates on Weekends, Public Holidays and School Holidays - weather dependent. Segway rides are available between the hours of 10am - 4pm. (During daylight saving they usually open earlier and run later into the evening until approximately 6pm).
Pure Kiwi Adventures also cater for Corporate and Team Building.
