El Castillo is a lovely village in Nicaragua, very close to the border with Costa Rica. It's isolated, connected with the outside world only by a river boat.
The cemetery is located on the top of a nearby hill, reached after a steep uphill walk. It's poorly maintained but still active, altough some areas of it look truly abandoned. It's used by people as a shortcut, so don't be surprised to see some peasants crossing its grounds.
