Tenerife is a volcanic island and the northern coast of the island is quite rocky but has a few black sand pebble beaches.
Playa Martianez is one of these beaches and is popular with surfers.
The fountain splashes onto a slightly raised flat surface with a drainage area at the edge. Although it has no depth it has the appearance of an infinity pool stretching into the Atlantic Ocean.
