The symmetrical building stands on a rectangular ground plan and consists of three parts: a central and risalerend volume gently sloping gabled roof, flanked by lower wings with slightly inclined long hoods. The central volume has a Doric temple front with two fluted columns between variants. In the tympanum there is a sculpture of the sculptor J.P. Maas representing the three Fates with the thread of life from Greek mythology. The wings consist of colonnades of Ionic columns and pilasters.

The central volume is (via the glass wall) achieved by a high double centrally positioned panel door in the rear wall of the pillars vestibule which was dark colored in origin. The originally also dark-colored bays of the colon seams in the wings are blind. Columns hall and colon seams are interconnected through a monumental passage in the wall between. In the side wings and in the cellars below are on opposite sides of a central corridor original wall graves present which, respectively, over the roof lights and glass in the floor are provided with daylight. Graves are also located in the floor of the colon seams of the side wings. The side walls of the building contain two large framed windows whose southern ones are blind. The gently sloping gables are decorated with a circle between two triangles. Half below ground level the entrances are located in the side walls to the cellars, which are reached by a descending slope. The completely blind rear of the building is on the boundary of the cemetery and is visible only from the private backyards of the houses on the south side of the Pijnboomstraat.

The basement, the columns and some architectural details are made of sandstone. Friezes and moldings are made of wood. The remaining masonry consists of plastered brick in the side walls the motive of stone blocks. The part of the side walls below the height of the basement is made black.
