Located in the small town of West Branch, Iowa, Herbert Hoovers birthplace wasn't much larger than a one-car garage. His father spent the day working in a blacksmith shop just a few yards away. His mother spent time in the family garden. He and his brother probably spent time swimming in the nearby creek, and searching out interesting items along the railroad tracks, and surrounding area.

The cottage is currently undergoing lead paint removal, and is not open for tours. Many of the objects that were in the cottage can now be viewed at the visitors center. Although I did some research, I could not find an address for the cottage. It appears to have been on Poplar St. but the streets have been closed around the cottage.
