Bonifatiusbrunnen, Taufstein, Germany - Holy Wells on Waymarking.com

Dieser Bonifatiusbrunnen wird auch Bonifatiusborn genannt. Hier soll Bonifatius, der „Apostel der Deutschen“ im 8. Jahrhundert gepredigt und mit dem Brunnenwasser getrauft haben. Daher der Name des Berges: Taufstein.

Der Brunnen ist seit Jahren ausgetrocknet. Aber die Einfassung des Brunnens aus Basaltbrocken ist noch sichtbar und ein Hinweisschild.

This Well of Saint Boniface is also called: Bonifatiusborn. The legend says that Saint Boniface (visit link) , the "Apostle of the Germans", shall have been preaching at this place as well as baptizing with the water of this well.

The Well is dry for years. But you still see the bordering of the well as well as information sign and information board.
