Hungry Wolf is a hamlet in the municipality of Oldambt in the Dutch province of Groningen. It lies northeast of Finsterwolde, just above Ganzedijk.
The name pops up in 1877 for the first time in a newspaper report and is believed to come from an inn, perhaps a hostel polder boys who worked on the embankment of the Reiderwolderpolder found their entertainment.
The hamlet is a time long been popular with artists and various artists still have their place of inspiration and peace.
Hungry Wolf came since 2000 regularly in the news with the discovery of a serious crime that occurred several years earlier. During work at the G. Gernaatweg was Hannelore Klinkhamer-Godfrion found dead in February 2000.
Writer Richard Klinkhamer, her husband, had her killed and buried. Klinkhamers wife was reported missing for years.
He wrote a book about how he would hunt and kill her (Woensdag Gehaktdag), but no publisher wanted to publish it until 2007.

Duran Duran.
Duran Duran are an English new wave/synthpop band formed in Birmingham in 1978. They were a successful band of the 1980s and a leading band in the MTV-driven "Second British Invasion" of the US. Since the 1980s, they have placed 14 singles in the Top 10 of the UK Singles Chart and 21 in the Billboard Hot 100, and have sold over 70 million records.
"Hungry Like the Wolf" is a song by the British new wave band Duran Duran. Written by the band members, the song was produced by Colin Thurston for the group's second studio album Rio. The song was released in May 1982 as the band's fifth single in the United Kingdom. It reached the top 5 of the UK Singles Chart, and received a silver certification by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
"Hungry Like the Wolf"'s Russell Mulcahy-directed music video was filmed in the jungles of Sri Lanka, and evoked the atmosphere of the film Raiders of the Lost Ark. Although the band initially failed to break into the US market, MTV placed the "Hungry Like the Wolf" video into heavy rotation. Subsequently, the group gained much exposure; the song peaked at the number 3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1983, and Duran Duran became an international sensation. The video won the first Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video in 1984.
