The Bladensburg Post Office in Historical Bladensburg, Maryland. The post office is a stand alone square building. It offers all standard post office services, stamps, shipping, mail handling, sorting and delivery. Bladensburg’s total population is 7782. Total Pop in Households 7782, Average Household Size 2.45, Average Family Size 3.25, Total Housing Units 3495. I’ve found that usually three to two clerks work the main customer service with support and supervisor support in the main warehouse. Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Open Mondays through Saturday till noon. Closed Sundays. Bladensburg is one of America’s oldest towns and is situated in Historic Prince George’s County, Maryland. Bladensburg is well known as the port town where the British came in and marched on Washington to burn the Executive Mansion and the Capitol. Bladensburg is also known for the famous Dueling grounds and is also the home of the Indian Queen Tavern where George Washington stayed. Bladensburg was also where the cocktail was derived. Most of mail that goes into Bladensburg will eventually end up in the main facility either in Northeast Washington or Hyattsville, Maryland. The Post office sits across the street from the Town Police Department and next door to the Volunteer Fire Department. This is a high volume area and has many long lines during the holiday season. Visit Instructions:
To post a log to an existing U.S. Post Office waymark, you will need to post a picture of the front of the building, with the name of the post office in the background if that is possible.

A description of your Post Office is required, such as when it was built, history, outstanding or unique features, population of the city or town, just do a quick internet search and find an interesting bit of information about the city or town and add it to the long description, to make it more interesting. Even just adding in the population of the area can give others an idea of how many people this post office serves. This description should be at least three sentences.

If your Post Office has any unusual or unique features that you feel others would enjoy viewing, additional pictures are always welcome.
Including your gps device in the picture is not necessary, but wouldn't be cause for disapproval, as long as all other details of your log are acceptable.
