The lower part of the Fulda River is seperated with barrages to keep enough water for shipping inside of the river. These barrages build a wandering obstacle for the fish. In order of the european WRLL, these barrage have to have fish ladders or fish passes to allow them their wandering. This fish pass is one of them.

Common fish is trout, Zander, Barbe, eel.
