This 'Tiger Scout' monument at the entrance to Camp Chaipiti, north of Muak Lek in northern central Thailand, was the official mascot of the 20th World Scout Jamboree which was held in 2003 in Sattahip, Thailand.

This friendly looking Tiger Scout is a constant reminder that Camp Chaipiti is camp run for Boy Scouts.
I didn't realise that there would such a major language barrier for finding out who placed the monument at the entrance, as this is not where the Jamboree was held.
