Strangely and oddly, the Post Office, Bait Shop, etc. are on a road named Post Office Road, a short road leading north off Highway 3, the
Lighthouse Route, just east of the truss bridge over the Clyde River.
This is a
Mr. Fly bait shop which sells live bait as well as tackle and other fishing equipment produced or distributed by Mr. Fly, an Atlantic Canada wholesaler based in Newfoundland. They have stores in every Atlantic Canadian province and also a few in Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, Manitoba & Alberta.
This is a pretty small shop sharing the building with a convenience store and post office, so it's hard to say how large their stock might be. Unfortunately the shop/store/post was closed when we passed by.
To find the shop first look for the church steeple in Clyde River, that of St. Matthew's United, probably once a Methodist Church. The shop is barely 100 metres west of it, on the other side of the highway. In the other direction, beside the church, is a large and old cemetery.
