Located in front of Elmslie Memorial Church is this marble Celtic cross which has a marble plaque attached which reads:
"THE GLORIOUS DEAD
1914-1918 1939-1945"
It seems that this plaque was added after World War II because there are carved numbers beneath it that may correspond to just the 1914-1918 dates.
Another plate below reads:
"IN MEMORIUM
Marking the 70th anniversary year of the enlistment of
201 Caymanians in the Trinidad Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve
for serving during World War II
Dedicated on 1st of November 2011
Remembrance Day Ceremony"
