The Well in Caerphilly Castle is protected with a modern grid to guard against tourist accidents. You often see people sitting on the low wall. There is water evident in the Well, I would say about 30 feet down. Two small plaques are attached on the low wall, one reads FFynnon (Welsh for Well) the other just Well.
