In the main driveway to the old harbour of Vlissingen stretched a pier in the Westerschelde which was used in former times for the Scheld pilots to get aboard. From here Scheld upways to the Port of Antwerpen is a tricky waterway.
The pier is build from wood and at the end is one of the harbour beacon lights.
