EN: Zeiningen is a municipality in the district of Rheinfelden in the canton of Aargau with about 2300 inhabitants.
The name comes from the Old High German, presumably "Zeiningun", meaning "at the people of Zeino". First mentioned was the village in 1222 as "Ceînigen".
The sign is located on the road from Möhlin just before it passes under the highway bridge.

Der Name stammt aus dem althochdeutschen, vermutlich "Zeiningun", was bei den Leuten des Zeino bedeutet. Erstmals erwähnt wurde der Ort 1222 als "Ceînigen".
Das Schild befindet sich an der Strasse von Möhlin kurz bevor sie unter der Autobahnbrücke durchführt.
