Bazylika Mariacka is one of the most iconic places in Gdansk. In middle ages, here was the heart of the city. The clock was placed on the wall in year 1533 by Wawrzyniec Zachau.

It was heavily damaged in WWII, and it was renovated in 1990, thanks to Hans Lothar Fauth.

The sundial is divided in 2 parts: the upper one is blue with golden sun and stars. The lower one symbolizes round Earth, it is white, with black surrounding with roman digits for hours.
Sundial Type: Vertical - Wall mounted dial plate
