The Main European Watershed (visit link) is the drainage divide which separates the basins of the rivers that empty into the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea and the Baltic Sea from those that feed the Mediterranean Sea, the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea.

The Polish name of the summit, Trójmorski Wierch (Peak of Three Seas), was introduced in 1946 and refers to the fact that the sides of the mountain belong in the drainage basins of three seas, namely the Black Sea, the Baltic and the North Sea.

The Czech name(Klepác or Klepý) and the old German (Klappersteine) names are believed to refer to the clatter you hear while walking over the blockfields which cover considerable parts of both the top and the sides of the mountain.

The cairn is located right on the top of Klepy Mountain.
