EN: This sculpture is located on the square in front of the funeral chapel in the cemetery Meisenhard of Olten.
It consists of granite blocks that make up a gate and a fountain, on the eastern corner of the gate there is a pair of wings made of bronze. The whole group is aligned with the direction of the sunrise on the Summer Solstice.
The group of sculptures is titled: "Passagio tra le Pietre" (distance between the stones). It was created by the Ticino artist Flavio Paolucci and was the winner of a national competition of the Rentsch Foundation, that donated it to the population of Olten in 2000.
DE: Diese Skulptur befindet sich auf dem Platz vor der Abdankungshalle im Friedhof Meisenhard von Olten.
Sie besteht aus Granitblöcken, die ein Tor und einen Brunnen bilden, auf der östlichen Torecke befindet sich ein Flügelpaar aus Bronze. Die ganze Gruppe ist auf die Richtung des Sonnenaufgangs zur Sommer-Sonnenwende ausgerichtet.
Die Skulpturengruppe trägt den Titel: "Passagio tra le pietre" (Wegstrecke zwischen den Steinen). Sie wurde vom Tessiner Künstler Flavio Paolucci geschaffen und war der Sieger-Beitrag eines nationalen Wettbewerbs der Rentsch-Stiftung, die sie im Jahr 2000 der Bevölkerung von Olten schenkte.
